STEVE HODGES | CREATIVE DIRECTOR

A little about me and what makes me tick (and or tock). After working in the creative industry for 20 years, I have pretty much had to lend a hand to all aspects of advertising and marketing. From national campaigns to small local businesses. There are golden creative nuggets to be found everywhere. This is why I like to get my hands dirty with a vast array of creative goodies.

INTEGRATED APPROACH

Probably the best and most valuable thing that I took away from University was to always view a piece of work in as many mediums as possible. The same message can be painted, sewn, sculpted and shouted. (if needed). I believe that this approach has served me well in connecting the dots across a variety of mediums in my integrated approach to creative campaigns.

OBSERVE | ABSORB | CREATE

I think of my self as a creative hub, a dot connector, a people watcher, a collector of ideas and experiences. I am a sponge for information and influences. I constantly absorb details from my environment and form them into creative solutions. When a question is posed, the creative cogs are already turning in anticipation.

ALWAYS ON

I believe that true creatives are ‘Always On’. They’re always ready, one way or another, to paint a picture, tell a story or sculpt something from the air. They always see the details differently and make connections with the catalogs of experiences they have absorbed and stored in their ‘creative vault’ of ideas.
